Invite Users to Join Workspaces

This section explains how to invite users to join a workspace.

Prerequisites

You should join a workspace and have the Member Management permission within the workspace. For more information, refer to "Workspace Members" and "Workspace Roles".

Steps

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has the Member Management permission, and access your workspace.

  2. Click Workspace Settings > Workspace Members in the left navigation pane.

  3. Click Invite on the right side of the page.

  4. In the Invite Member dialog, click add-dark next to the user you want to invite. Select the role of the user in the workspace from the dropdown list, then click OK.

KubeSphere provides the following preset workspace roles:

    RoleDescription

    workspace-admin

Workspace administrator, has full permissions within the workspace.

    workspace-self-provisioner

Workspace self-provisioner, can create projects, view workspace settings, and has management permissions for projects they create.

    workspace-viewer

Workspace viewer, can view all resources within the workspace.

    workspace-regular

Workspace regular user, only has permission to view workspace settings within the workspace. This role is typically assigned to project members who do not require additional workspace permissions.

The invited user will be displayed in the workspace members list.
