Delete Volume Snapshot Classes

This section describes how to delete a volume snapshot class.

Warning

After a volume snapshot class is deleted, the volume snapshots and volume snapshot contents created based on the volume snapshot class will not be deleted, but users will no longer be able to save snapshot data to the backend storage system through this volume snapshot class.

Prerequisites

  • KubeSphere Storage should have been installed and enabled.

  • You should join a cluster and have the Volume Snapshot Classes Management permission within the cluster. For more information, refer to "Cluster Members" and "Cluster Roles".

Delete a Single Volume Snapshot Class

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has the Volume Snapshot Classes Management permission, and access your cluster.

  2. Click Storage > Volume Snapshot Classes in the left navigation pane.

  3. Click more on the right side of the volume snapshot class you want to delete, then select Delete from the dropdown list.

  4. In the Delete Volume Snapshot Class dialog, enter the name of the volume snapshot class, then click OK.

Delete Multiple Volume Snapshot Classes

  1. Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has the Volume Snapshot Classes Management permission, and access your cluster.

  2. Click Storage > Volume Snapshot Classes in the left navigation pane.

  3. Select the checkbox on the left side of the volume snapshot classes you want to delete, then click Delete above the list.

  4. In the Delete Multiple Volume Snapshot Classes dialog, enter the name of the volume snapshot, then click OK.

    Note

    Please separate multiple names using a comma (,) and a space.
